Warehouse scrubber robot: dust and tyre marks, among the forklifts

The robot scrubs aisles and traffic areas without stopping operations. No forklift driver tied up on the scrubber, and the floor stays clean from one shift to the next.

A SIASUN QD750F scrubbing robot cleans a logistics warehouse aisle between pallet racks.

IN BRIEF

Updated

  1. An industrial scrubbing robot cleans the aisles, docks and production areas of a warehouse or factory: dust, tyre marks, oil and AGV wheel tracks.

  2. The SIASUN QD750F scrubs a 750 mm path, up to 2,200 m²/h, with 90 L of clean water and 81 L of dirty water, according to its manufacturer.

  3. Robot Distribution delivers it, maps the site, trains the team and maintains it, to buy, rent or as RaaS.

WHY

Warehouse and factory floor scrubbing

In a warehouse or workshop, dust and tyre marks build up quickly on traffic aisles. A dirty floor makes markings harder to read, soils goods and hurts the site's image during audits and customer visits.

Ride-on scrubbing ties up a forklift driver or cleaner for hours, often at night or at weekends. The robot does the scrubbing alone, on a route, and the team only keeps touch-ups, cluttered areas and machine care.

HOW IT RUNS

How industrial scrubbing runs with the robot.

  1. Mapping and zones

At commissioning the robot records the site plan: aisles, docks and no-go zones such as rack bases or forklift charging bays.

  2. Scrubbing during operations

It scrubs aisles while steering around forklifts, pallet trucks and pedestrians. The SIASUN QD750F can run under the same scheduler as the site's AGVs, and opens doors and calls lifts via IoT, according to its manufacturer.

  3. Stubborn marks and oil

On oil marks and greasy areas, brush pressure and mode are adjusted: the Gausium Scrubber 75 has a dedicated oil mode and 45 kg brush pressure, according to its manufacturer.

  4. Draining, filling and charging

At the end of the cycle, the operator drains the dirty water and refills the tank. With its WS-02 station, the Gausium Scrubber 75 charges and exchanges water on its own.

BEFORE INSTALLING

What the site survey checks before installation.

  1. Floor and soiling

Hardened concrete, resin, painted floor; fine dust, tyre rubber, oil: floor and soiling type set the brush, pressure and detergent.

  2. Forklifts and AGVs

Aisles, crossings, docks and peak hours are studied; if the site runs AGVs, integration with their fleet management is checked.

  3. Passages and slopes

Aisles between racks, dock ramps and doors are measured: the Gausium Marvel needs an 850 mm passage and climbs up to 10°, according to its manufacturer.

  4. Water, drain and charging

Water point, drain and power socket are located near the machine room, or the spot for an automatic station.

FAQ

Site managers' questions about robotic floor scrubbing.

Can a robot scrub while forklifts are moving?

Yes, that is the intended use: the Gausium Marvel combines 3D LiDAR and 360° vision for areas shared by forklifts and pedestrians, according to its manufacturer. The busiest areas are scheduled for off-peak hours.

How long does it scrub on one charge?

The Gausium Marvel manufacturer states 5 to 7 h of scrubbing, the Gausium Scrubber 75 manufacturer about 4 to 6 h. The SIASUN QD750F runtime is not published: we confirm it during the study.

Sweeper or scrubber?

On a very dusty floor or outdoors, a sweeper such as the Gausium Beetle (750 mm width, 45 L bin according to its manufacturer) goes first; for tyre marks and oil you need a scrubber. Both can work on the same site.

How many robots for a large warehouse?

The SIASUN QD750F is rated up to 2,200 m²/h and the Gausium Marvel up to 3,024 m²/h scrubbing, as maxima. The number of robots is calculated from your area and the time window available.
