Professional kitchen robot: automated cooking, frying and grilling in restaurants

The robot doses, cooks, fries or grills to the stored recipe at a steady pace. Cooks keep the prep, plating, quality checks and recipe creation.

The Botinkit Omni cooking robot stir-fries vegetables in its induction pot in a restaurant kitchen where a cook plates dishes.

IN BRIEF

Updated

  1. A professional kitchen robot automates one production station: wok or pot cooking, the fryer, the burger grill, or a whole autonomous kitchen for contract catering.

  2. The Botinkit Omni cooks up to 30 servings per batch on about 1 m², doses 13 seasonings automatically and cleans itself, according to its manufacturer.

  3. Robot Distribution delivers it, installs it with your kitchen fitter, trains your teams and maintains it, to buy, rent or as RaaS.

WHY

Professional kitchen robots

In the kitchen, the cooking, frying and grill stations need someone there throughout the rush, in heat and splashes. Restaurants and contract caterers struggle to hire and keep these staff.

The robot reproduces the recipe identically, doses ingredients and keeps up the pace. Cooks prepare the produce, supervise, plate and stay in charge of the menu. Installation fits into the kitchen's hygiene procedures (HACCP) and the rules on food contact materials set by Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004.

HOW IT RUNS

How service runs with the robot.

  1. Choosing the station

We identify the station to automate: stir-fries and stews, the fryer, the grill, or the full production of a canteen or self-service restaurant.

  2. Installation

The robot fits into the existing line. The Miso Robotics Flippy Fry Station works around the fryers already in place, needs about 2.9 m of line clearance and installs overnight without wall mounts, according to its manufacturer.

  3. Recipes and set-up

Recipes are stored: ingredients, quantities, times and temperatures. The Botinkit Omni keeps them in the cloud and shares them between sites, according to its manufacturer.

  4. Service and cleaning

During service the team loads produce and plates; the Aniai Alpha Grill grills eight patties at a time on both sides and checks doneness by vision, according to its manufacturer. After service, cleaning is started.

A cook pours prepared ingredients into the Botinkit Omni robot before service.
The cook loads the ingredients; the robot doses and cooks.
The Botinkit Omni robot tilts its pot to pour the cooked dish into a gastronorm pan.
When cooking ends, the pot tilts for plating.
