USE CASE · GREEN SPACES
On large grounds, commercial robotic mowers cut every day in satellite-guided stripes. Teams keep the finishing, overseeding, irrigation and care of the surroundings.

Updated
A commercial robotic mower autonomously maintains grounds of several hectares, sports pitches, golf roughs, business parks or large municipal lawns, with no boundary wire.
The Ambrogio 4.50 PRO covers up to 80,000 m² with an 84 cm cut and about 11 hours of work per charge, according to its manufacturer.
Robot Distribution sizes the fleet, maps the zones, trains your teams and provides maintenance, to buy, rent or as RaaS.
WHY
A sports complex, golf course or business park means hectares of turf to mow from March to November, often with ride-on mowers and a driver for hours at a time. The time spent mowing is lost for pitch preparation, overseeding and bed maintenance.
Commercial robots cut little and often, which keeps the turf even and leaves clippings on the ground. They run on electricity and are managed as a fleet from an app or web portal; teams handle the finishing and the areas the robots do not cover.
HOW IT RUNS
The site is split into zones by area, required cut quality and slopes. The Husqvarna CEORA 546 EPOS covers up to 50,000 m² (±20%) at standard quality or about 25,000 m² at sports-field quality, according to its manufacturer.
Boundaries, no-go zones and passages are recorded by satellite, with no buried wire. The Kress KR236E RTKⁿ positions itself to the centimetre without an on-site reference antenna, according to its manufacturer.
The robots mow in parallel lines at the chosen times and return to their charging station on their own. The FJD RM21 mows up to 12,000 m² per charge with a 635 mm cut, according to its manufacturer.
The manager follows runs, alerts and faults in the app or web portal. Technicians clean the cutting decks, change blades and prepare the machines for winter.

BEFORE INSTALLING
Each zone's area and target cutting height set the number of robots; cutting height ranges from 20 to 70 mm on the Husqvarna CEORA 546 EPOS and 20 to 127 mm on the FJD RM21, according to their manufacturers.
Slopes are measured zone by zone: the all-wheel-drive Navimow Terranox CM240M1 is rated for 40° (84%), the Ambrogio 4.50 PRO for 25% recommended, according to their manufacturers.
Stands, buildings and tree lines can block the signal: RTK reception and network coverage are checked across the whole site.
Match and event calendars, public access, automatic irrigation and charging-station locations are agreed with the site manager.
FAQ
According to the manufacturer: up to 24,000 m² for the Navimow Terranox CM240M1 and the Kress KR236E RTKⁿ, up to 50,000 m² (±20%) for the Husqvarna CEORA 546 EPOS, up to 75,000 m² with WiseNav for the Belrobotics Bigmow GPS-RTK BM-2050 and 80,000 m² for the Ambrogio 4.50 PRO.
Yes. The Husqvarna CEORA 546 EPOS offers sports-field quality over about 25,000 m², and the Belrobotics Bigmow GPS-RTK BM-2050 mows in GPS-RTK guided stripes with five floating cutting heads, according to their manufacturers.
No. The robots on this page position themselves by RTK; the FJD RM21 adds 360° LiDAR, the Navimow Terranox CM240M1 360° vision, and the Bigmow BM-2050 needs no wire with the WiseNav option, according to their manufacturers.
According to the manufacturer, the Navimow Terranox CM240M1 is rated IP66, the Husqvarna CEORA 546 EPOS and Kress KR236E RTKⁿ IPX5, the FJD RM21 IPX4. Schedules avoid mowing waterlogged turf.
Area and durability: commercial models mow hectares, are managed as a fleet and stand up to daily use through the season. For lawns of a few thousand m², see our page on robot mowers for parks and grounds.
USE CASES
Robotic mowing of parks and groundsThe robot mows regularly, by zones set in the app, with no wire to bury. Gardeners keep pruning, beds, edges and seasonal work.
Robotic line marking of sports fieldsThe robot paints pitch lines from templates, guided by satellite, while the groundsperson prepares the next pitch. Teams keep mowing, watering, turf care and the final check.
Robotic maintenance of natural-turf sports pitchesA robot mower cuts the pitch several times a week at a constant height, and a line-marking robot repaints the lines before each match. The groundsman runs the programme and keeps the agronomic work.Robots, acquisition mode and delivery terms, in one written proposal.
