IN BRIEF

The CUES Steerable Pipe Ranger II is a pipe inspection robot by CUES. Key figures published by the manufacturer: 180–1,830 mm pipe, 610 m cable and steerable. Robot Distribution supplies it in Europe to buy, rent or as RaaS, with its EU declaration of conformity. Price on request.
OVERVIEW
For municipal crews already running CCTV surveys, the CUES Steerable Pipe Ranger II is a steerable camera transporter for storm and sanitary sewers from 180–1,830 mm (7 to 72 in), including 8 in relined pipe, according to the manufacturer. It works on up to 610 m (2,000 ft) of single or multi-conductor cable, and its drive combines a two-speed transmission, freewheel and powered reverse. Wheels come off at a single point, an electric or manual camera lift is optional, and an aluminium version is offered to cut handling weight.
The transporter is built for municipal sewer networks, storm drains and culverts, carrying CUES OZIII-S or OZ4-HD pan-tilt-zoom cameras or the DUC side-scanning camera. Before ordering, list the diameter mix of your network, the cable length needed between access points, the cable type on your existing truck or reel and the camera you intend to use, since these four choices define the configuration.
Against the SROD S300EHD, the Pipe Ranger II is the pick for crews who want one steerable transporter across small and medium pipes and very long cable runs; the SROD crawler is aimed at large drainage pipes and adds, by its maker's account, an IP68 rating, laser width measurement and a 250 mm lift. Robot Distribution works out the transporter, cable and camera combination with you and can train your inspection crews.
