The Motoman HC20DTP is the 20 kg collaborative robot of Yaskawa’s HC range, sized for palletizing and heavier handling. According to the manufacturer, it reaches 1700 mm effectively (1900 mm absolute, 3400 mm vertically), repeats to ±0.05 mm and is rated IP67. The arm weighs 140 kg, moves its tool at 1000 mm/s in collaborative operation and runs on the YRC1000 or YRC1000micro controller with a 1.5 kVA supply.
Its natural ground is end-of-line palletizing, heavy part handling, machine tending and packaging. A 140 kg arm needs a solid base or pedestal, which should be checked early, as should the pallet height against the vertical envelope.
