The SROD S300EHD is a pipe inspection robot by SROD Robotics. Key figures published by the manufacturer: 300–3,000 mm pipe, ingress protection IP68 and runtime 8 to 10 h. Robot Distribution supplies it in Europe to buy, rent or as RaaS, with its EU declaration of conformity. Price on request.
OVERVIEW
Six driven wheels, an IP68-rated body and an X-type electric lift define the SROD S300EHD, a CCTV crawler for large drainage pipes from Shenzhen-based SROD Robotics. According to the manufacturer, its 1920 × 1080 camera offers 10x optical and 12x digital zoom, eight 2 W LEDs light the pipe wall, the lift raises the camera by up to 250 mm and the crawler climbs gradients of up to 45°. The cable reel holds 120–300 m of cable and has a built-in lithium battery lasting 8–10 hours.
Large trunk sewers, municipal networks, storm drains and culverts are its natural ground, and laser measurement lets operators record the width of cracks and other defects directly in the survey. The manufacturer also quotes a 50 kg load capacity. Points to check before choosing it: the diameter range of your network against the current data sheet, reel length versus the spacing of access points, sediment and water depth in the pipe, and whether your reporting software accepts its video and measurement output.
Compared with the CUES Steerable Pipe Ranger II, which steers through small and medium pipes on a very long cable, the S300EHD suits wide sewers where camera height, lighting and defect sizing matter more than reach. SROD Robotics was founded in 2009, according to the company. Robot Distribution supplies it with a hands-on commissioning session and after-sales follow-up in Europe.
