IN BRIEF
Updated · Source: manufacturer's published specifications
The Brain Corp Inventory Scan is a retail inventory robot by Brain Corp. Key figures published by the manufacturer: mounts on cleaning robots, scans while floors are cleaned and cloud reporting. Robot Distribution supplies it in Europe to buy, rent or as RaaS, with its EU declaration of conformity. Price on request.
OVERVIEW
Rather than adding another machine to the aisles, Brain Corp Inventory Scan turns floor-cleaning time into shelf-audit time: a cloud-connected scanning tower is retrofitted onto autonomous floor scrubbers running BrainOS, and shelves are captured while the floors are cleaned. Brain Corp, founded in 2009 in San Diego, says its BrainOS software runs more than 50,000 robots on six continents, most of them floor scrubbers.
Store managers receive reports on price accuracy, planogram compliance, stock levels and product location. The system is aimed at warehouse clubs and supermarkets that already operate, or plan to operate, BrainOS-powered scrubbers. Points to check first: whether the scrubbers in your fleet can take the tower, whether cleaning routes pass every aisle you want audited and at a useful time of day, how scan data will be uploaded from the store, and how the reports will feed your pricing and replenishment processes. Brain Corp publishes no hardware data sheet, so physical details are confirmed project by project.
Next to the Hanshow SPatrol, a dedicated shelf-inspection robot that cross-checks electronic shelf label data, Inventory Scan is the logical choice when autonomous scrubbers already clean the store, since it reuses an existing route; SPatrol fits stores organised around Hanshow labels. Brain Corp also offers the scanning as robot-as-a-service. Robot Distribution reviews your scrubber fleet and store layout before proposing an integration path.
