The Universal Robots UR7e in detail
The UR7e is the successor to the UR5e: Universal Robots kept the 850 mm reach and raised the payload to 7.5 kg, while staying on the same e-Series controller, tool connector and safety architecture. According to the manufacturer, the arm weighs 20.6 kg, repeats to ±0.03 mm and moves its tool at up to 4 m/s. It mounts in any orientation on a Ø151 mm base and draws about 200 W in typical use.
It is a general-purpose size for machine tending, assembly, packaging and quality inspection. Existing UR5e cells can often move to it without redesigning fixtures or programs, which is worth confirming with your integrator. If parts sit slightly farther away, the UR7e-920 variant adds reach. Keep the IP54 rating in mind wherever coolant or washdown is involved.
