OVERVIEW
The EFORT ER16-4-900 in detail
Built for benchtop cells, the EFORT ER16-4-900 is a four-axis desktop robot that, according to the manufacturer, carries 16 kg at the wrist and reaches 944 mm. It runs on EFORT's C-type controller and belongs to the maker's desktop range, the smallest class in a catalogue that extends up to heavy six-axis arms. EFORT, founded in 2007 in Wuhu, China, builds industrial robots and complete robotic production lines.
Four axes make it a pick-and-place machine: it moves parts across the table and up and down, which suits small-part handling, assembly, tending of compact machines and training benches in electronics plants and schools. Before choosing it, check that no part has to be tilted during the cycle, since a four-axis arm cannot reorient the tool the way a six-axis arm does. Also confirm that gripper plus part stay within the payload and that the table or frame is rigid enough for fast moves.
In this group of EFORT models it is the only four-axis unit and by far the most compact; move to a six-axis arm such as the ER35-2700 when parts must be turned over or presented at an angle, or when the machines are far apart. Robot Distribution can supply it with a demonstration cell for training centres and commission it directly on your production bench.
