IN BRIEF

The Boston Dynamics Atlas is a humanoid robot by Boston Dynamics. Key figures published by the manufacturer: height 190 cm, weight 90 kg and degrees of freedom 56 DOF. Robot Distribution supplies it in Europe to buy, rent or as RaaS, with its EU declaration of conformity. Price on request.
OVERVIEW
The electric Atlas is Boston Dynamics’ enterprise humanoid for industrial work. According to the manufacturer, it stands 1.9 m tall, has 56 degrees of freedom with continuous-rotation joints, reaches 2.3 m and lifts 50 kg momentarily or 30 kg sustained. It is rated IP67, works from -20 to 40 °C, offers 4 h of battery life and swaps its own battery at a station, so it can return to work without anyone handling packs. Tactile sensing and a 360° camera view support manipulation close to people and parts.
Its first target is the automotive plant: parts sequencing, logistics between stations and handling tasks shaped around human workers. Boston Dynamics is field-testing it with Hyundai and starting with a select group of early adopters, so performance data from production sites remains limited. Compare it with task-specific automation for the same station before committing budget.
Atlas is not yet orderable in Europe. Robot Distribution can record your interest for when wider availability opens, and point you to Spot or Stretch, which Boston Dynamics already supplies for inspection and truck unloading.
